CUBA WINS AWARD FOR UFO DOCUMENTARY
Cuban producer was awarded the top award at the Vina del Mar UFO
film festival, which attracted over 500 persons this weekend.
VIÑA DEL MAR, Februar 16.- "Ovnis en Cuba: 50 años de Misterio"
was the audiovisual production that won the alien statuette at
the First Latin American UFO Documentary Festival, an event that
ended yesterday after an intensive day of UFO projections at the
Vina de Mar Municipal Theater.
Event organizers told Terra.cl that at least 500 people attended
the event, which was organized by the AION UFO research group.

The competition had a jury made up of renowned national and
international ufologists who ruled unanimously that the winning
video was an audiovisual production by Antonio Cortazar, who
presented hitherto unseen images taken in Havana and other
island locations. Cortazar is the current vicepresident of the
Cuban Writers and Intellectuals Society.
Honorable mentions were given to two other productions from
Brazil and Germany.
UFO buffs were able to enjoy cases collected by researcher
Carlos Muñoz in Punta Arenas, as well as the work of analyst
Eugenio Ford, who presented CEFAA's latest computer analyses on
UFO sightings in Santiago, Iquique and Viña del Mar.
