The New FOIA Tool That Will Transform Research In The 21st Century

NORTHRIDGE (BlackVault) May 7, 2004 Since the enactment of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in 1966, researchers have bombarded the U.S. Government with requests for information. The subject matter varied, but the goal was the same the truth!

The Black Vault has recently completed a section that allows every day researchers and curious minds to use this tool and access FOIA records. "The process of the FOIA is simple..." says this new section, "yet it takes years to master the games, the tricks and the way different agencies handle different requests."

The Black Vault has put together a list of every government agency which accepts FOIA requests, but more importantly has programmed an online form to submit your requests electronically all in one place.

Not every agency accepts FOIA requests through e-mail, but The Black Vault has scrounged the internet for each one that does. The result was a tool which has never been created before, and allows everyone with the click of a button to use the FOIA.

The Black Vault has also offered it’s FOIA request template for you to use as a guide, offers new message forums for asking questions and posting your research, and offers extensive documentation to study this Act. At the end of this release, The Black Vault has also offered a complete FOIA request which is for the four page document which got John Greenewald started with his research.

All you have to do is copy and paste this letter into the online form (links below) and put your own mailing address. Send it to the Defense Intelligence Agency, and you will get a copy of this document which was the first document The Black Vault ever received! It is 100% free of charge, and will show you how easy the FOIA process is, and will get you started on your way to uncovering something no one else has!

The possibilities are endless with the use of this tool. It is made available by The Black Vault and is the result of the continued drive to educate the public.
