Graham Birdsall

7th April 1954 - 19th September 2003

At around 3am on September 11th 2003, Graham W. Birdsall Editor of UFO Magazine was taken ill and rushed into hospital where it was discovered that he had suffered a serious brain haemorrhage.

Graham underwent two operations in as many days and surgeons were optimistic with regards to his recovery. After the operation Graham was being cared for in a specialist neuro intensive care unit with his family by his side.

At 05:05 this morning (Friday) Graham W. Birdsall suffered heart failure. His passing came just two days after undergoing a seven hour operation following his recent brain haemorrhage. Graham never regained consciousness. His wife Christine and daughters were by his side.

Graham was this subjects pillar of strength, he brought serious UFO research into the public domain and delivered a vociferous message to enthusiasts and researchers around the globe.

His character, enthusiasm and his commitment to this subject will be sadly missed.

Graham was a loving, caring husband, father and devoted grandfather he leaves his mother, brother and sisters.

He was also my best mate.

Russel Callaghan.

Funeral arrangements have been made for 1pm on Tuesday 30th September 2003

The service will be held at St Mary's Parish Church, Whitkirk, Leeds.

My deepest sympathy goes to his wife Christine, his family and Russell Callaghan at this difficult time - John Hayes (UFOINFO).
