On Saturday August 10th at 11.0am Peter was standing at a bus stop in Leichardt waiting for a bus. There was a clear blue sky when Peter noticed a bright white light in the north eastern sky appear out of nowhere. At first Peter thought it was an airplane it was about 45 degrees moving towards him but as he watched he realised it was not an airplane.

He described it as an elongated cylindrical beam of light dipping from 45 degrees to 20 degrees as it moved towards him, suddenly it shot off to the left so fast that it left a shadow light mark where he was looking at it. Peter watched it for approximatly 15 seconds he said there was no sound. When it disappeared he freaked out and asked the lady standing next to him if she had seen it, but she hadnt.

Peter told me it was intensely bright, oval shaped and he judged it to be 20 or 30 metres across. He said it would have been bigger than a 10 cent coin held at arms length and guessed it would have been over North Sydney. He couldnt believe how blatently close the object came and feels that others must have seen it. He added that the object was kind of floating down before it vanished. Peter would be interested to know if there are any correlating reports. Thank you.
