Time: 1.00am

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: 1

Shape of objects: Neon lime green lightning flash

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Clear evening sky

Description: While driving south along the road past the end of the runway of the RAAF Air Base at Williamtown in New South Wales, Australia at 1.30am one weekend evening in 2001, after singing and playing the electric guitar with Gayle Wise (a Jazz and Blues singer from Balmain, Sydney) at Lemon Tree Passage Bowling Club.

We both witnessed a bright neon lime green lightning flash downwards from the sky to the ground, about 200 meters away from my van. There were no other cars on the road, there was no noise, we did not stop, we kept driving. As we passed the exact position where we saw the neon lime green lightning flash hit the ground it had disappeared. We were very startled, we both said "did you see that".

We arrived back at Gayle's place in Kanwal probably sometime around 3.00am, I was tired and I didn't look at the clock to check the time. I then continued driving south to my place at Empire Bay probably arriving around 4.00am. The next day again while driving I noticed that the digital clock in the dashboard of my VW Transporter van was two hours slow ! ! !

Hello John, thank you for your reply. Regarding my / our definite sighting of a neon lime green light / flash without any audio usually associated with meteorites or electromagnetic interference / lightning. Could be a possible UFO propulsion trail sighting?

Regarding the unexplained time loss, as previously stated I didn't take any notice of the exact time. I wasn't wearing a wrist watch, I don't wear or like them and I don't remember even looking at the digital clock on the dashboard of my van, it is hard to see the old style crystal display at night.

Yes unexplained electromagnetic interference and a definite unexplained sighting.

Hi Pete,

Perhaps you could let John know there was a time difference of two hours when I arrived home as compared to the clock on your dashboard.

Cheers
Gayle
