UFO SIGHTING REPORTSpringwood, New South WalesDecember 20th 2005
Hotline call in code 5289 Peter is a sky watcher and amateur astronomer. He explained to me that he was familiar with satellites and how the sun reflects on them. On the night of December 20th, at around 10:10 pm, along with his son, Peter witnessed something very strange. He noticed four starlike points of light travelling across an arc in the sky. They were in a perfect line, like a “string of pearls” moving symmetrically and in formation approximately 2-3 degrees apart. Thirty seconds later, two more lights followed the exact same arc and heading. This totally freaked out the witness. He said he had never seen anything like it. He watched them travel from south to north until they disappeared from view. Peter said he believed them to be high in altitude, definitely not planes and that they moved across the centre of a perfectly clear sky. He was aware that it was reflected light from the sun and that they dimmed and disappeared once they had travelled far enough around the curve of the earth to no longer catch the suns rays. Peter declared that they were travelling through the Orion’s belt area of the sky. He rang the RAAF who said that they didn’t take reports. He was told to ring Telstra who subsequently directed him to the hotline.
