UFO SIGHTING REPORTLynwood, Perth, Western AustraliaMay 22nd 2006UFOINFO Sighting Form Report Location: Lynwood, Perth, Western Australia, Australia Date: 05/22/06, 10:45pm local time (GMT +8) Approach Direction: North Departure Direction: South Witness Direction: East Description: I saw a bright red and orange flickering light move overhead. At first I thought it was a flare or a firework, but it moved steadily and did not change colour or shape before it went over the horizon. It made absolutely no sound. It looked quite similar to a flare (i've seen them before), but I followed it as it moved north to south at a similar speed to an airplane. There was quite low cloud around (i saw this just before it began to rain) and I could see it moving beneath the cloud. I live quite near an airport, and it is usally quite easy to hear planes as they fly overhead, but I heard nothing. And planes generally approach my house from the south, not the north. It was moving perpendicular to the wind. Color/Shape: A bright, flickering (like it was on fire) red and orange light. There were no other lights near or around it to suggest it was a plane. it was quite large. Height & Speed: Just below cloud level, and it held this height the entire time. It moved fairly slowly, and kept the same speed the entire time I could see it. TV/Radio/Press: No, but it happened just moments ago.
