27.03.08 EPPING VIC 0419hrs (NL)
Source: AUFORN ONLINE UFO REPORT FORM
Name: Karen XX
Witnesses: 2
Sighting Duration: 2 seconds
Occupation: Registered Nurse
Location: In the rear carpark of Hospital
Observation: Saw a large, very bright white light with a greenish tinge and a red bright line in the front of it, moving south across the sky in a extremely fast motion. The light flickered, then faded and vanished in a very short period of time. The light seemed too large and too close to be explained by a shooting star or meteorite. There was no sound and the light just disappeared. The light was moving too fast to have been an aeroplane. Can anyone please explain what this may have been?
Description: See above. There were no changes of shape during the observation.
Apparent Size: It appeared larger than an aeroplane would at the altitude it appeared to be at.
Actual Size: It looked to be larger than an aeroplane would at the altitude it appeared to be at.
Altitude: It appeared to be at a higher altitude when we first saw it and looked to be losing altitude as we watched it move across the sky.
Object Origin: It came from the North-West and moved South-East towards the city.
Object Destination: Don't know, it just vanished, as if someone turned off the light.
Weather: Clear, Cold, Calm, Light patchy cloud.
