17.10.08 GRAVELLY BEACH (TAS) 2100hrs

Sighting Duration: 20 seconds
Occupation: Service Engineer

Observation: Bright circular light travelling south.
Observed for 20 seconds then faded out near the star Acrux. Unusual direction for light from our location that can be explained as satellites which travel across west to east. I see a lot of lights/activity but have never felt compelled to report any until now.

Description: Solid circular light slighlt smaller than Venus which was also visible but not as bright, I would guess magnitude 2.

Weather Visibility: Clear, Mild, Cloudy, Breezy

Other Experiences: 1997 I saw a bright light high in the northern sky flash 12 time 5 seconds between flashes my partner observed the last 6 with me.
