Weather Conditions: Not a cloud in sight. Cool night

Description: I was outside having a cigarette when I routinely scanned the sky for UFOs (a habit I have, and that has proven successful on two other occasions). I saw an elongated, possibly cigar-shaped object, sitting in the sky with flashing lights along its side. I stayed for 10 minutes and it did not move. I kept checking back and it still didn't move. After half an hour it was gone.
