Today me and my wife spotted an unusual thing in the sky.

We woke up early at approx 5:45 as my wife was putting a cup of tea on. I was still laying in bed. I looked up in the sky and saw what i first thought was the moon with a whirl pool of light surrounding it. The whirlpool effect went around the object two and a half times. I asked my wife to come and see it. By the time she arrived she also saw it within 5 seconds of her standing there we witnessed the object fall below the horizon.

The night sky was completely clear of all clouds and the moon was nowhere near to it. I have never seen anything like it. It looked kind of like the Norway sighting of light swirls except this only had 2 maybe 2.5 very clear rings around it.

Has freaked the hell out of me thought I better tell someone.
