Weather Conditions: Clear but dark

Description: I spotted a white glowing light spiraling in the dark sky while walking to work, it seemed to be about air balloon height and was larger than the moon. I took two photos with my mobile phone in which one of them shows the object to be a different shape (not quite round) but could have been from the spiraling motion. There was a tail of light that spiraled around the glowing orb as if it was moving in circles very fast. The light appeared to dim out into circle with a hollow centre, as if there was a dark spot in the centre of the light. It was moving at a steady pace out towards the ocean.

I rang my Dad who was also walking to the same location to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me and asked him if he could see it. He confirmed my sighting. The light appeared to be moving in a straight line which disappeared over the ocean. The length of time in which I observed the object was anywhere between 3-5 minutes. I rang my wife and asked her to contact the local radio station (cfm 90.9), she declined saying she didnt want people to think I was crazy but she did listen to it for any other reports in which there were none.
