Weather Conditions: Clear

Description: We turned to walk up to the high side of our street. A bright light, bigger than a star or aircraft landing light, appeared in the sky approaching from the SW. It was at the centre of a cloud-like white spiral. It was headed generally towards the centre of Brisbane, but as it approached our location it appeared to turn slightly eastward. As the angle changed the light appeared more oval, and the "cloud" spread from it in an "hourglass" shape above and below the bright part. It was heading towards the brighter eastern sky (sunrise 6.32am) and we lost all detail. It wasn't fully daylight when we first observed it but you could see the colour of houses, etc. We watched it for approximately three and a half minutes. We (my husband and I) were commencing our regular early morning walk.
