Marie, a 79 year old resident of the Gold Coast recalled an event that occurred in the early 60s. While living at Peak Ave, Main Beach, Marie and her friend Lock Hail (at the time of the sighting, her husband was indoors) witnessed a brilliant white, dome-shaped object, slightly to the right and above the Surf Lifesavers Club at Main Beach, suddenly streak off and disappear towards Stradbroke Island. Just prior to its rapid disappearance, the underside of the object glowed a 'frosty flourscent' colour, moved every so slightly upwards and zoomed away. Duration was only a few seconds.

Conclusion: Unknown.
