Description: Large cylindrical object approx 300 meters long and a width of 100 meters with what appeared to be portholes drifting through Heavitree Gap on the outskirts of Alice Springs. I was approx 500 meters away from the object. The object made no noise that i was aware of.
Time was approx 3 am, it was a warm night with no cloud in view
Color/Shape: Dull silver \ light gray finish bloated cigar shaped object
Height & Speed: Approach speed 30 km/h and 100 meters estimated height. Departure details unknown as I rushed inside to try to find a camera
