Reddeer, Alberta Another Bright Meteor Lights Up The Sky

Time: 11:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I was reading the report of a UFO between Edmonton and Calgary on December 13 2003. I also saw the flash of light on highway 2 heading north, about on 5 minutes past Innisfail, Alberta.

I was just going over the hill north of Innisfail at about 11:30 pm and had a great view of the surrounding prairie, I could clearly see the orange glow from the city of Reddeer, I could see a half moon to the East which was still quite low in the sky, while I was looking at the moon I saw a bright meteor light the sky up ahead of me, it looked like a camera flash had gone off because it lit up the surrounding countryside, I didn't see where the meteor came down, it just winked out, I did see several meteors past Reddeer, but none were as bright, I found out later on that night that it was one the annual Geminid meteors which are at their height on that Saturday Dec 13th .
