Shape of objects: 2 - Airplane wings W/O body.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was on the roof top garden in my condo complex where I was having a cigarette. I was laying down on a pool side chair. It was a very clear night and the moon was out just to the southwest of me. I was specifically looking to see a shooting star when I caught a glimpse of a black/grey object in the night sky. It was difficult to see against the back drop but I am certain that there was an object moving. There are plenty of airplanes in my area but I know this wasn't one of them because it had no lights and there was no sound. It approached from the north and was heading south. I caught a glimpse of it at a 45 degree angle. Just to be sure, I got up and squinted my eyes to be sure. I only saw it for about 5 seconds however because of the backdrop it was really hard to see. It look like two airplane wings together without the body. Since I live close to an airport, I am sure the tower should have had it on their radar. If anyone knows how to get a hold of such information, please let me know.
