UFO SIGHTING REPORT
August 29th 2004
Manville, Alberta Giant Orange Ball Of Light
Date: August 29, 2004
Time: Approx: 2:30 a.m.
A phone call came in from a witness who was traveling on Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway). On August 29, 2004 at approx: 2:25 a.m. the fellow had pulled his vehicle off to the side of the road to stretch his legs as he had been on the road for sometime, he had been heading westbound. That part of the highway had four lanes and he had pulled over into a pull off area.
As he walked around and eventfully was getting back into the car to start his journey again, he noticed traveling from west to east a large, round/circular glowing orange object, which he first thought was a beautiful Autumn Moon. (this was the first thing that came to mind). He described it as being roughly one and a half time the size of a full moon. The sighting lasted for approx: 5 seconds and was seen low on the horizon. He also stated that is was heavily clouded over at that time and it had rained earlier. So the object was traveling below the cloud cover. There was no trail or tail following behind the object, also no sound was heard at all.
A Freightliner which was coming down the highway in his direction seemed to be slowing at a good rate and the witness figured that the driver had to have been observing the same object as he was because as soon as the object disappeared from sight the truck sped up again.
Thank you to the witness for the report.
