UFO SIGHTING REPORT
KITCHENER ONTARIO
October 2nd 2004
UFOINFO Sighting Form Report
Name: Steph Gick
Location: Kitchener Ontario, Canada
Date: Saturday October 2nd, 2004 at about 11:30pm local time
Approach Direction: did not see approach
Departure Direction: did not see departure
Witness Direction: unsure, but I think it was north
Description: I was at the skatepark with my friends (6 of them) and I wasn't skatboarding. My friends were sitting on the bench, so I decided to just lie on the ground. I looked up and saw what looked like an orange star. I didn't think too much of. I then noticed the star was moving very slowly. Again, I disregarded it, thinking it to be perhaps a sattelite and that would explain the orange color. the object then began to zigzag and swirl in the sky. I tried to get my friends to see, but they couldn't spot it between all the stars. It would stop, then start again. I got up and went to one of my friends. I grabbed him and made him lie right beside me in the same spot, but I couldn't find the object again. I did not see it depart.
Color/Shape: it was just an orange spot in the sky. It looked like a star, just slightly bigger.
Height & Speed: did not see approach or departure.
TV/Radio/Press: no reports were made.
Follow-up Report from Brian Vike:
Hi. Thank you for the reply. I would be glad to answer as many of your
questions as I can.
As I was laying down, I saw it pretty well directly overhead, so I have no
clue whether it came from north, south east or west. For the entire duration
of the time I was laying down, probably close to 20 minutes before I got up.
Once I did get up, I couldn't find it anymore. The area I was in is
separated by the highway (I believe the 401) if you go down a small hill,
then a fence. If I had gotten into a car and drove, I could have been at a
regional airport in probably about 20 minutes. There is
no military or Air Force buildings anywhere nearby. I was at a skate park
located behind an outdoor track and field, often used for local sporting
events. Also, there is an indoor auditorium, where concerts and hockey often
happen, but because it was so late, most of the bright lights were turned
off.
Occasionally, I was able to see airplanes also flying very high up, as the
nearest international airport is approximately an hours drive away. There
were no trails or tails were visible to me. I was unable to hear any sound
and it was just glowing orange. It stayed orange for the duration of its
visibility.
This is not the first time me or people I know have seen unidentifiable
objects in this area, this is just the only one I have enough information on
to give an accurate (and hopefully useful) report. I think that the area of
Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo are areas of great interest when it comes
to objects.
Thank you for taking the time to review my report. I hope it can offer
useful information to your studies.
[UFOINFO thanks Brian Vike & HBCC UFO Research for the follow-up.]
