UFO SIGHTING REPORT
WINDSOR ESSEX COUNTY ONTARIO
July 2nd/3rd 2005
UFOINFO Sighting Form Report
Location: Windsor, Essex County, Ontario
Date: Roughly midnight, July 2, 2005 / July 3, 2005
Approach Direction: Heading NW on a sharp downward angle
Departure Direction: none
Witness Direction: 2 of us facing SW from Windsor, 1 facing SW from highway westbound 401 near London
Description: Two us us were sitting on a patio having a cigarette and looking out towards the sky. We saw what looked like a shooting star or comet. We assumed it was a firework at first, but realized it came from a much higher elevation. Only it seemed to come down right in front of us, so close you could see the surface of it burning. We turned on the news right away because we had just assumed anyones else outside at the time would have saw it too. My room mate returned from Toronto(about a 4 hour drive north) at about 1:30 am and immidiatly asked if I had seen it too. He said that anyone driving the 401 must have seen it. More people must have seen that? Or is there some normal explaination for this?
Color/Shape: burning orange
Height & Speed: From space to the ground in a fireball
TV/Radio/Press: wasn't, but why? Everyone outside would have seen it.
Follow-up information from Brian Vike:
Sorry to take so long, that's a lot of questions and I also keep pretty
busy.
There was actually 3 of us that saw it. I'm going to buy a compass and get
back to you. I wouldn't say it was an alien craft though. It was like a
piece of junk, maybe scrap steel or something, but it was between the size
of a large transport truck
and the biggest house. It was moving very fast with flames shooting off it.
It was big enough that I could see the detail of the abstract shape.
It looked like a big ball of 20-50 cars glued together randomly with glowing
orange spots(like hot steel) and flames
shooting out behind it. If that makes sense? It must have left a hole too
big to miss and all three of us agree that you could not have missed it if
you had your head up and facing that way.
Just checked a map, it was south, southwest of the corner of Banwell and
Techumseh Rd. It must have been at least 50 km out.
[UFOINFO thanks Brian Vike & HBCC UFO Research for the follow-up.]
