Description: I was about to go to bed when I looked out the window and seen a bright red light above the trees in the horizon. I thought it was the city lights but then it started pulsing. I stared at it for at least 10-15 outside my front porch and all of a sudden a burst of bright orange light streaked the night sky toward the right of the pulsing red light. It was a cloudy night and it looked like "fire in the sky" It kept that up until about 6:00 am. I was wondering if anyone else saw something similar that night.
Follow-up information from Brian Vike:
To be honest, I'm not sure if it was even a UFO.
I tried researching on the
internet to see what it could've been and my boyfriend thinks that maybe it
was something from the factories at Dofasco. If it was, it must've been some
kind of gas released in the air or something and cause some kind of reaction
in the sky. It was cloudy that night, the sky was a deep purple/red.
It was
strange though because every now and then a part of the sky would illuminate
with a streak of orange/red light. But it was higher up and away from the
factory. I thought I heard some planes flying by but it sounded for a few
seconds and then stopped. I thought I heard a weird buzzing sound and at one
point the buzzing got louder and the light intensified and then stopped when
the buzzing stopped. There was a thick overcast so no stars were visibles so
any signs of aircrafts would not have been visible. hmmm..by car I live 5-10
minutes away from the factories, not even. I don't think I seen a trail when
the lights came off. It just illuminated and when it stopped illuminating I
just saw smoke.
It lasted from 3:00 am until 6:30 am. The red light
eventually vanished I suppose because I was too tired to continue watching
it. After deliberating and researching for a long time, I thought maybe it
was the northern lights, but like I said, I could've been mistaken. I've
never seen the northern lights around here and it was quite an interesting
spectacle. Maybe it was Dofasco. But whatever it was, it was quite a sight.
My boyfriend also thought that maybe the lights down here were reflecting
onto the sky. I don't know how to describe it except that it just looked
like the sky was on fire and it was pulsing like a steady heartbeat. I don't
know, but hopefully you can solve this mystery because I'm out of answers.
Thanks for listening.
