Description: My family and I were out at the cabin for the August long weekend. It was too hot to sleep, so we found our way down to the dock and did some star gazing.

It was a crystal clear sky, and I cant remember the last time I ever saw so many stars.

Around 2am, my cousin turned on a spot light and began to point out constallations with the beam of light.

As he moved the beam across the sky, he came to a small patch where there were no stars, and he would have kept progrssing, but for an instant it appeared as if our light was reflecting off something. He shut the light off, as we both watched the same spot of sky.

An object just slightly bigger then the other stars began flashing a bright white. This lasted for only 3-5 seconds, and then it remained lit and shot across the sky so fast that it left a light streak.

This whole experience lasted maybe 30 seconds, but it was definitely something I've never seen before!
