Location: Victoria, B.C., Canada - Viewed from Craigflower Road, Vic West

Date: June 18 2009

Time: 11:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: Two

Number of objects: One

Shape of objects: Round/Oblong

Weather Conditions: Cloudy

Description: We saw a green light circling above us, going counter clockwise at an extremely fast pace. As it circled it would be visible through most of the circle but then disappear behind clouds at the 1 o'clock position for a few seconds. It slowed for a few cycles, then sped back up again.

It was difficult to tell size, but it had to be large, we think about the size of a bus. It made absolutely no sound and was way too fast to be any kind of plane, search light, or anything that we could identify.

The clouds did obscure the object but it was bright enough to shine through the lighter cloud layer. It was above the clouds rather than being some sort of light reflected off the clouds.

After about 5 minutes, it simply disappeared.

We spend a lot of time watching the night sky (we smoke outside) and have never seen anything remotely like this.

If there are other reports or if you know what this might be, please let us know!

TV/Radio: I called CHEK News and they hadn't had any reports. They did say the F16s were flying over tonight, but we've seen the jets before and are familiar with both the sound and speed of them. This wasn't a jet.
