Shape of objects: ball of brilliant light, then a narrow beam

Weather Conditions: calm, clear, some moonlight

Description: At about 12:30 am, my husband and I observed a brilliant ball of white light hovering at our bedroom window for several seconds, then a narrow beam of light shot across the room at a downward angle, and disappeared. We live on a country road with nothing for miles across from us. It was a very calm, clear evening. We ran to the window, and there was nothing -no car, plane, or person. About 15 minutes later, a jet flew over our house so low that I thought it was going to crash. We live 23 km. from Pearson airport, and have never seen a jet flying so dangerously low.
