Description: At about 21:40 EDT, a bright light (same magnitude as Jupiter) appeared west of Arcturus in Bootes. It moved at the speed of an airplane until it dimmed and then disappeared just south of Alcor/Mizar in Ursa Major. The striking feature of this object was its comet-like tail. Unlike a comet, this c-shaped tail curved underneath the light and was about seven times longer and five times wider than the light itself. It was fuzzy, was about half the magnitude of the light and did not morph in shape.

About thirty seconds after the disappearance of the light, a second light appeared west of Arcturus. It was identical to the first light, except that it was tailless. It travelled the same course and at the same speed as the first light and dimmed and disappeared south of Alcor/Mizar.
