Description: I was sitting and talking with two of my friends and suddenly felt like looking up at the sky. I saw something that looked exactly as like some of the brightest stars observable in the night sky, but it was moving. It was moving very slowly what's more, it's intensity dimmed as it was moving until it disappeared.
The entire observation lasted no more than 7 seconds and the distance covered by the object at arm's length is equivalent to about 3 to 4 inches. The first object was traveling exactly from a south-northerly direction, while the second was going slightly more north-westerly direction.
About 3 minutes later, I looked up at the sky again to see a second object in the same area behaving exactly like the first one, as if it was a duplicate observation of the first.
The dimming of these objects rooted out the possibility for them being satellites (which I first thought them to be in the first second I saw them). In fact, it reminded me of the UFOs observed by the STS missions where you have these objects fading in and out at a similar rate.

Additional information:
Hi John,
I'd just like to say that the objects the likes of which I observed are regularly visible and they have the exact same behavior. All of them travel from south to north with the exception of one which traveled the opposite direction. I intend to make closer observation with my telephoto lens and my telescope. This is the first time in my life I see such strange behavior in the sky.
