Shape of objects: Very bright white light

Weather Conditions: Clear Skies

Description: On the evening of July 9, 2010 my neighbour and I where out on his patio enjoying the nice weather. Sometime around midnight we observed an extremely bright object fly across sky. The object appeared from the northeast and quietly traveled towards the northwest in what seemed like a slight arc. Thinking that the object might be an airplane or helicopter I left the deck and walked out to the street in order to view the object from a slightly different angle. The object had no marker lights of any kind. Shortly after maybe a minute or so later a aircraft with visible strobe lights (green and red) passed by looking like it was following the same path as the unidentified object. The object could be best described as being the same brightness and size as a streetlight. The only thing that i can think of that might explain this sighting other than top secret military or Intelligently produced and controlled would be a comet, yet this object had no tail.
