Description: I was sitting such that I was looking to the west in the direction of London, Ontario, which is about 6 miles away. I saw a very bright light, which I assumed was Venus as the location when I saw it was fairly close. It looked as if the light was slowly moving up. I didn't say anything right away as the object was Venus; however, I then recalled that Venus disappears at sun down.
It then became clear the very bright light was moving from the northwest in a southeasterly direction. I told my wife, brother, and his wife. We watched the light pass overhead. Sitting in our hot tub on many nights, we have many planes and satellites. This was definitely not a plane as it had no blinking lights. It was not a satellite because it was too close and the light was very bright. When it passed Dorchester we watched it then disappeared.
