Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: yes

Weather Conditions: 5 celcius with good weather a few clouds.

Description: Started out as a very bright orange flare-looking light slowly moving across the sky at the hight of the clouds.

It got dimmer by the second.

Never seemed to change direction or speed.

For the last few seconds near the horizon it had no visible light, just appeared as a dark object.

At first sight it was by far the brightest thing I have ever seen in the night sky!

My entire sighting lasted about 60-90 seconds.
