Description: We had just come inside the house from our backyard as the mosquitoes were becoming annoying. I was sitting in my recliner by the patio doors visiting with my daughter 43 and her two children of 21 years (twins), when a red glowing ball of light caught my attention coming towards us from the East. It did brief zigzag patterns in the sky just above the trees in the park behind my house, then it slowly drifted North just above the treetops. I called my daughter and grandchildren over to the patio doors to have a look. It looked as though it was going around to the front of our house so I ran to the front door to watch it. Suddenly glowing brighter, it abruptly disappeared, shooting straight up into the night sky so fast that my eyes couldn't keep up with it.

I went back to the patio doors. Less than a minute later we all watched as 2 more red glowing balls came quietly again from an Easterly direction into our view. They flew fairly close together only splitting away from each other briefly and then drifted North as the other Red Glowing Ball of Light did. My granddaughter and I both tried taking pictures of these glowing lights but her camera went "white" on the screen as though it overexposed, and mine shows colourful lines or rectangles (not balls of light) and are not distinguishable. Then these objects disappeared just as abruptly as they had appeared. There was no sound at all.

Within another minute, 2 more glowing red balls of bright light came across the sky from the same Easterly direction. Again, no noise whatsoever! It seemed they were travelling a bit faster than the other red glowing balls of light. Suddenly they seemed to hover briefly over the trees in the park, then instead of heading North, they went slightly North East and disappeared low in the sky at first, and then it was like someone shut off the light and they were gone. We continued watching the skies for another hour but did not see any more strange red glowing balls of light.

Additional comments from the witness:

Hello. I was very sceptical about sending this information to you because quite frankly, I don't know what the heck we saw but I do know that these objects were absolutely not planes, flares, weather balloons, fireworks, or whatever is the going explanation these days!

My granddaughter (21 years old) and I tried to take pictures of these red glowing balls of light but her camera screen went absolutely bright white like a flash had gone off or the picture had been overexposed. She got nothing at all on her camera. On my camera, I got colourful lines or rectangles. When I looked away from the camera back at the objects, they were still round glowing red balls of light and not rectangles at all so that was very puzzling and interesting to me. I thought I would pass the pictures on to you as I don't know what to look for and perhaps as poor as they are, they may be of use to you. Thank you for taking the time to look at these pictures!
