CHILE: A UFO OVER VALPARAISO?
A strange light in the sky caused expectation in Viña del Mar and Valparaiso on Sunday night. The large luminous source remained visible over both cities for nearly half an hour.
The phenomenon, according to some of the persons who witnessed it (including a photographer from the UPI news agency) was an intense, large light that was resting at a considerable elevation over the hills between the country's main port and the "Garden City".
The brightness -- visible after 22:30 hours -- could be clearly seen from various sectors of both cities due to the object's considerable luminosity and despite the fact that a slight fog covered the city.
Eyewitnesses state that the light increased and decreased in intensity and that green and blue lights could be seen beside it at times. After remaining in view for half an hour, the brightness vanished altogether.
Sightings of this type have been reported in recent days in this area, causing expectation in public opinion due to the existence of a photographic record of same.
Local authorities have yet to comment on these sightings.

| The Unidentified & Creatures of the Outer Edge - Jerome Clark & Loren Coleman Back in print for the first time in decades! The Unidentified and Creatures of the Outer Edge, the classic early works of Jerome Clark and Loren Coleman, now in a special double edition with a new introduction by the authors. The Unidentified finds the links that connect supernatural folklore, religious visions, cryptozoology, and modern-day UFO stories. It documents episodes from the fringes of human experience and exposes what they may tell us about ourselves and the strange world we live in, where things – whether fairies, ghosts, divine apparitions, or ostensible extraterrestrials – may be even more mysterious than they seem. Creatures of the Outer Edge surveys the cryptozoologically bountiful decade of the 1970s (and more) with accounts of Mothman, Owlmen, Thunderbirds, Phantom Panthers, Devil Dogs, Texas Big Birds, and, yes, of course, Bigfoot. Some of the individually 'named' local Bigfoot creatures first appeared in this book, including Momo (Missouri Monster), Lake Worth Monster, Murphysboro Mud Monster, the Enfield Thing, El Reno Chicken Man, Noxie Monster, Navajo's Skinwalkers, and Yukon's Bushman. The book also introduced the now-iconic Dover Demon for the first time to the general public.
