Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: Yes

Weather Conditions: Slightly overcast, turning very overcast after departure.

Description: Three steadily glowing orange objects flew in a straight line from behind some clouds. They were moving a little slower than I would have expected from an airplane flying as low as I thought it must have been for running lights to appear that large, but faster than a helicopter. At first glance they looked like match heads, but were not flickering like flames or even pulsing. It was just a steady orange glow. After a moment, they separated into a small right triangle and hovered for a few seconds. Then they closed formation, separated into a larger right triangle, hovered for a few minutes again, then slowly moved away one by one, fading as they did so. From my point of view, with the top of the triangle being the point that appeared closest to me, the bottom left point left first, then the top, then the bottom right. They moved much slower than they did upon arrival than when departing.
