Weather Conditions: Clear with small clouds in the distant valleys

Description: While driving from Kahului to Kihei my wife observed a flying craft toward the hills on our right. I was driving and could not see it as it was at roof height and travelling at approx. our speed. I pulled over and stopped. As I leaned over and looked up it turned sharply and sped up over the hills. The 'aft' view, if that was what I was seeing, appeared to pulse light. It was out of sight in just seconds.
