Number of witnesses: Four

Number of objects: One

Shape of objects: Circular

Weather Conditions: Still dry night

Description: We were standing in a field with a new born foal and noticed an orange/red ball of light move towards us from a southerly direction and then change direction as it neared us and move away in a westerly direction. It is difficult to estimate height off the ground but certainly 400 feet plus and rising higher as it moved away from us. The total length of time in view was 4 to 5 mins which was more than one would assume any flare might last and the change of direction also seemed inconsistent with air movement.

TV/Radio: I am not aware of any reports of same.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Dear John,

Many thanks for your reply. I do think it is quite possible that this is what I saw. Looked somewhat redder than video. However I saw another one on 24th at a higher altitude but I am happy to accept your suggested origin.
