Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Clear blue sky, calm, bright Summer evening

Description: Object came from Greystones direction to NTMK and seemed to changed direction to North towards the Wicklow/Dublin Mountains. When the object was overhead it was dark and spherical in shape but seemed to flash between black and red intermittently.

As object got further away it seemed stop above Kilmac/Glen O'Downs/Kilpeddar area. It appeared to have a reflective metalic sheen from the sun and seemed to disappear and reappear intermittently.

I recorded most of this on a camcorder.

UFOINFO Note: The original footage was recorded on a Sony handheld video camera (cassette tapes) and the witness kindly got her brother-in-law to convert it to digital format for me. Two versions of the footage were sent in, the original footage and an enlarged close-up.
