Time: About half past midnight

Number of witnesses: Several witnesses reported by evening paper next day

Number of objects: 3

Shape of objects: Spherical

Weather Conditions: Clear

Description: These lights formed a loose triangular form, and they had a quickly dissipating vapour trail behind them. The phenomena then disappeared over the Wicklow Mountains. The next day a few of the old pirate radio stations reported the sighting as did I believe, the Evening Herald newspaper. There were speculations such as "aurora", "stratoplane" and "space debris" circulating the next day.

TV/Radio: Evening Herald (I think, maybe Evening Press). Various pirate radio stations, as that was all I listened to at that age.
