Description: We were sitting on the beach around 9:30pm central. Noticed a very low sitting star like object appeared to be very low to the ocean, very far from any stars. We started to watch the object in the sky because it looked like a star at first but was way to low to the ocean to be a star of any kind. Once we started paying attention to the object we saw it start to move. The movement was very sparatic, sometimes moving right or left or up and down. It was also moving in very fast zigzag like patterns. Slowly it started rising higher and higher in the sky all the while it was still moving back and forth and bobbing up and down. We watched the object for about 3 hours until it appeared to be as high as the stars.
Strange thing is that as it went higher in the air, it actually appeared to be just as bright as when it was very low to the ground. The light never seem to dull out and never seemed to appear any smaller, even as it moved up higher and higher in the sky. Any logical person would know that as an object moves farther away, it would appear much smaller and much less bright, but that was an absolute contradiction to what we saw. Even as it seemed to be as high as the stars, it was still seemed to be just as bright and just large as it was when we first noticed the object when it was very low to the ground. We have never been believers of UFOs until that evening, especially my 47 year old mother was very skeptical at first. We just want to know what we saw! There is absolutely no way that it was either a star, air plane of any kind, or satelite due to its erratic movements. Never in my life have I seen anything like it. I am somewhat knowledgeable about astronomy and I have never head or seen anything like what we saw.
