CHANCE UFO PHOTOGRAPHED BY MEXICAN JOURNALIST

An image published on June 2, 2002 by Merida’s “De Peso” Newspaper (Yucatan, Mexico)

According to the author of the image, reporter Ylmar Pacheco, he was taking photos of a senior citizen event in the Salvador Alvarado Sur district when he suddenly saw a Mexican Air Force helicopter fly past. Feeling curious at seeing it fly so low, he pointed his camera toward it and took several photos.

The witness did not become aware of the UFO until he examined the images; nothing unusual was seen when the photos were taken.

The researchers who made this story known are brothers Raul and Gustavo Aleman of Mexico’s OVNIMERIDA group. They are trying to obtain the originals to these photos.

MEXICO: MORE ON THE MERIDA UFO

According to the news item published in Yucatan's "De Peso" newspaper on June 9, 2006, Mexican journalist Ylmar Pacheco captured the transit of a possible UFO over the Yucatan's capital.

Researcher Emilio Cetz reports that the witness managed to see a spherical object flying behind an airplane and did not pay it much attention, because he isn't a fan of the UFO phenomenon. He took a photo nonetheless.

When he downloaded the photos for review, he confirmed that a sphere was indeed present, and decied to submit the material to the newsroom of the "De Peso" newspaper, where a number of theories aimed at explaining the image were put forth.

The same publication left all possibilities open, allowing each reader to draw his or her own conclusions and employing such phrases as: "UFO or Foo Fighter? UFO or atmospheric trick?"

Emilio Cetz has known Ylmar for a long time and says that this is the first time that the photojournalist has had an encounter of this nature.

Personal comment from Ana Luisa Cid:

I have tried to contact Mr. Pacheco to secure more information on the two images published in the Merida newspaper and to date (June 16, 2006) I have obtained no reply. I remain hopeful that contact will be made soon.

The photos shown here have been directly scanned from "De Peso" as we do not have any copies of the originals yet.

Mexican researchers Raul Aleman, Gustavo Aleman and Emilio Cetz have participated in this project, and their valuable cooperation is acknowledged.

Crash at Corona: The U.S. Military Retrieval and Cover-Up of a UFO
- Don Berliner, Stanton T. Friedman

If UFOS don't exist, then they can't crash. But something did crash near Corona, a tiny town not far from Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. And that crash has been dissected and debated ever since. Aviation/science writer Don Berliner and nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, the original civilian investigator of the so-called Roswell incident, have delved into the controversy to find the truth. They sifted through once-classified government documents, interviewed military and civilian witnesses, pieced together evidence, considered alternative theories, and concluded that a UFO crashed near Corona -- and the U.S. government knew it and covered it up. 'Crash at Corona' proves that what was found in the New Mexico desert wasn’t a weather balloon or a secret weapon -- it was a UFO.
