UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Timaru, South Canterbury, New Zealand

Date: Monday 27 November 2006 approximately 7.30am

Approach Direction: West - from the Southern Alps

Departure Direction: East - straight out to sea

Witness Direction: North

Description: I was travelling to work along state highway 1 and I noticed an object travelling in the sky. I thought it was a plane taking off from Timaru airport. However I couldn't see the wings or the tail (you can usually see the Air NZ tail clearly at that altitude) The two cars in front of me slowed, as did I and watched it travelled out to sea. It travelled very fast then quickly went up and then down before shooting out to sea where it was out of view. It may have been a plane but I have never seen one travel that fast.

Color/Shape: Silvery white and cyclindrical

Height & Speed: about 300 metres off the ground and travelling very fast.

TV/Radio/Press: No I only told my husband.
