Shape of objects: It was surrounded by glimmering lights, perhaps an oval shape but we couldn't really tell.

Weather Conditions: Clear sky at night, stars shining, crisp air.

Description: My mother stood outside at the balcony for a smoke that night, and I was in the lounge watching TV (on the second floor in the house). She then called me out to see what she thought was an airplane- only, it was completely static and not moving.

I got out and saw an oval-like object with lights all around it. It was high up in the sky over the ocean, not moving. It just 'stood' there. That was WEIRD. It was not a plane or aircraft because it had many lights all around it, and it was not moving. The lights were not those aircraft lights that flicker on and off. I then had to go back inside to take a phonecall and when I came out again (about 10 mins later), it was gone, there was no sign of it anywhere in the sky.

Could it have been some sort of (weird looking) aircraft? I doubt it.

TV/Radio: I wish! That's how I ended up on this site, i was looking for any similar reports of that night.
