Location: Hawkes Bay (Havelock / Cliffton area)

Date: June 6th 2009

Time: Between 2:30am and 5:30am

Number of witnesses: One

Number of objects: 1

Shape of objects: Lights seemed to outline a faint upside down bowl shape.

Weather Conditions: Clear night

Description: Over Hawkes Bay, spotted a large light (which seemed to be 3 small lights with red a green) seemed like it was over Te Mata Peak way, but a bit beyond that and higher. Then it moved laterally then hovered for a while. Then it moved straight down, then stopped, then it moved across (not very far) then stayed still, then moved again laterally out Cliffton / sea area. Then it just disappeared! I stared at it for ages at one stage and you could see it moving slightly to the side. Was much bigger than a star! our house is high up on Hospital Hill in Napier and we see over Hawkes Bay.
