Time: 8.15pm

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: About 10 visible

Shape of objects: Bright orange. Glowing like a star.

Weather Conditions: Partly cloudy

Description: About 10 bright orange glowing objects like a star shape were moving in the night sky...3 or 4 across top and 4 or 5 fanning out below on both sides. 2 then veered off to the left.. This was witnessed by two people for about 5mins, then objects disappeared into the cloud..we looked many times over next hour but didn't see them again........what did we see? A real mystery.. I rang the Timaru police to report what we'd witnessed.
