Shape of objects: Like a big star

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Fine, stars out full moon.

Description: Big star following us whilst driving, we stopped and it stopped, then it moved side to side, we continued driving then turned towards it when it stopped and dimmed down into a star. Asked at observatory and was told it was Venus, my sister remembers it happening a few years ago with more sightings and they blamed on Venus.
