Number of witnesses: Late night, early morning.

Weather Conditions: Fine

Description: Driving in car on an open straight piece of road in the country late, early hours of the morning when all of a sudden I noticed an orange sought of glow suddenly appear in the rear view mirror of the car about 1km behind the car at ground level. At first I thought it must be a farm homestead with the lights still on but when I drove around a hilly bend I noticed the orange glow follow around the corner same distance back. Then I thought it must be another car behind me but what was strange to me about this is that the glow first appeared just out of nowhere on a straight piece of road and if it was a car then it must be travelling at some speed as I was expecting it to catch up to me soon but as I drove on for a further 5 mins or so these lights just stayed at the same distance behind me. After this amount of time I thought nothing of it and was sure it must be a car behind me.

When I looked up into the rear view mirror of the car there I saw it, about 40-50 metres behind the car and between 10-20 metres above.
