Shape of objects: Orange lights - dots same size as stars, although closer

Could your sighting be a UFO balloon/lantern?: No

Weather Conditions: Cool, some clouds, not too dark as moon was still quite full

Description: I saw 6 independently-moving lights form 2 triangles (equilateral with their bases parallel to the horizon) which then drifted across the sky alongside each other. At first they were suspended - still like stars - and then they each moved quite slowly, but deliberately into shape and away, together. What craft can do that? I'm sure other people saw this too.
