Approach Direction: didn't see them approach

Departure Direction: just disappeared

Witness Direction: NW - W

Description: Three lights - one very intense - not coloured. Two faint lights. One intense light and one faint light were in the same general direction, one much nearer than the other - even the nearest must have been some distance away because it occasionally disappeared behind a bank of low cloud. I woke my husband to see them at 3.05. We saw disc shaped light only through binoculars. Faint lights went soon after 3.05. Brightest light disappeared at 03.18. It was not an aircraft or helicopter.

Color/Shape: Intensely bright white light.
