UFOINFO E-mail Report

On Friday 27th January 2006 at approx 10:10pm my whole family and I witnessed something very strange. Our attention was drawn to an extremely low plane which seemed to be having trouble. None of us had ever seen a passenger plane that low. All of a sudden my son shouted at me to look up into the clouds where we saw lots of white patches of light which seemed to be chasing each other similar to bugs in a petri dish.

There were no beams at all, just the lights. This went on for about 7 minutes. They then moved out of sight only to return a couple of minutes later and settled into a huge circle and stayed still for about 1/2 an hour. I phoned the local police station who confirmed there were no laser or lights shows locally and asked me to report what I had seen. I have the lights on my camcorder, not brilliant but can clearly be seen.

A friend of my husbands also witnessed these events but I don't know of anybody else. I live in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Dear Brian,

Here is the information you asked for with reference to the lights I had reported witnessing.

Weather cond? There was just a thin, low level covering of cloud. There were no breaks at all and the lights were shining through, not in beams but like seeing a torch light bouncing off a wall.

Did the lights move? When we first noticed the lights they seemed to be moving erratically with no specific pattern. They were just south of my house, moved off briefly in a southerly direction then when they returned a few minutes later they settled into a hovvering position south/west of my house.

Air Base etc? There are no airports, military or research installations anywhere near us.

Sound? I stood in my garden watching the lights while they were hovvering and I could hear nothing at all from them.

Any other detail? It really spooked my children who witnessed this and it did rattle me. I would just like to know what it was.
