Description: Conditions today were very sunny, blue skies, absolutely zero clouds, a light cool wind heading South. I was at the front of my house working in my car with a relative, when I noticed a "fleet" of objects in the sky over the far South of the city. They were silver/white orbs, around 10 to 15 (maybe even 20) of them. None of them moved for about the first 10 or 15 minutes that I saw them, then maybe 2 or 3 would move at a time - very slowy - and then stop, taking up a new position. I hadn't noticed at first, but they appeared at times to be in a formation mimicking the "Plough" (Ursa Major) constellaton. They may have mimicked other constellations upon changing formation, but to be honest I am not too familiar with the other constellations. This lasted about 1 hour. Over the last 10 or 15 minutes of the sighting, it was apparent the fleet was moving slowly (incredibly slowly) South. By the end of the 1 hour they were simply "dissolved" into the bright sky. By dissolved I mean they just got too far away to see. At no point were any fast movements seen. The whole thing took place in a very calm manner, after seeing the objects stay in the same part of the sky for a long time it was weird to see them start to move slowly South. I do not know what these objects were, but I do not believe them to be either birds or balloons. The height was too much for birds and their was a decent enough breeze (no matter how gentle) that even on the ground balloons would have travelled at several miles an hour. These things were static.
Color/Shape: Silver or white. Hard to distinguish which, due to the strong sun in the West of the sky. Shaped like orbs, at least from the distance I viewed them at.
Height & Speed: No approach seen. There was a lot of sky traffic today - Easter Holiday returnees to Newcastle Airport (about 15 miles away as the crow flies) I imagine - and I was looking up quite a lot during the day at the passing airplanes (I was outside several hours) and I the first I saw of the fleet was when I noticed them static in the sky. Estimated height would be around 1 1/2 miles to 2 miles. Difficult to tell as they were also around 3 to 4 miles South. Objects were static around 45 minutes. Departure speed was in the low MPH (1, 2, 3 MPH???) as over the course of 10 minutes I realised they had started slowly moving South, by the end of 15 minutes of noticing this, they could no longer be seen.
TV/Radio/Press: Nothing reported in the press (as of today).
