UFO Sighting Report - England
Please note that the reports in this section have been submitted to UFOINFO/UFO ROUNDUP and accepted in good faith. No investigation has been carried out by UFOINFO.
With the increasing use of digital cameras we are seeing more photos showing alleged 'UFOs' - many of these could be insects, cloud shapes etc. As many readers have asked to see the photos I will be using some of them and leaving it up to the individual to make up their own mind - John @ UFOINFO.
July 29th 2006 : Princess Road, Seaham, County Durham, England
Hello John, Brian, Steve
Thank you for your valuable UFOlogical input and networking, Mapit researcher Steven Mera UK has forwarded a UFO Report to the witness and also created an image of the sighting by the information we have recieved so far and I will forward this to you both.
I am 95% sure that the Seaham UFOs were infamous fire balloons. Six orange coloured objects were observed in the sighting, three at one stage and again, another three later in the duration.
Fire balloons have a 8-10 minute duration and two separate launches could have created the deliberate spectacle in the North east skies. The fire balloon pack consists of six of these flying fires in the sky and the sighting report does not detract from any of the characteristics of these creations.
Only this week, witnesses in Aberdeen Scotland had observed six glowing orange lights that petered out in a ten minute period and the statistics indicate another fire balloon set launch. There are photos of the Aberdeen sighting , but they have not been featured on the local newpapers website.
18 months ago, I purchased a fire balloon pack for research purposes and they are quite effective and also a serious fire hazard when launched near any town or during a dry spell of weather. Windspeed can affect their movement and also their ability to become airborne. These balloons cannot be launched with winds over 10mph and struggle to become airborne and have a greater lift in cold weather.
I am also dubious about the ufo report and its modus operandi. Having received many ufo reports over the years, I was enthusiastic about the comment from the witness stating that the ufo story could be in the media the very next day. However, on lengthy reflection, it seems highly probable that this was the intention of the UFO report and the forwarded information may have been a lure to promote a ufo hoax.
Forgive me if I am over cynical as I know we are reliant on witness testimony.
John, Brian, Steve, I don`t get a good feeling about this one and my gut feeling about the "news next day" comment.I just don`t buy it at all I`ve gone from " I want to believe " and ended up with the " The truth is out there " Please look at the couple of attachments with this post.
Thanks and look forward to your views Chris Parr.
