UFO Sighting Report - United Kingdom

August 10th 2007 : Chatham, Kent, England

UFOINFO Sighting Form Report

Location: Chatham, Kent, England.

Date: 08/10/07 gmt (21:40 British Summer Time)

Approach Direction: Northwest

Departure Direction: Southeast

Witness Direction: Northwest... Looking at Ursa Major

Description: I was stood out on my balcony, letting dog out for a ....!, I love looking at the stars and tonight was clear... i looked to my right and saw the plough (ursa major).. well the tail of it anyway.. then, i spotted three objects, they were orange/brown glowing objects moving fast across the sky. They were swapping positions with each other as if they were having a race or playing a game. I know this sounds bizarre but i could not believe my eyes! I see alot of aeroplane traffic over this region on-route for london but this was different, very different.

Color/Shape: the objects appeared diamond in shape, flat to the sky.they gave off a orange/brown glow with a haze around them.

Height & Speed: I have no idea.. they appeared bigger than a star, and moved faster than a plane. their swapping motion was at an unbelievable rate. Nothing normal could move in such a way.

TV/Radio/Press: n/a... i have only come to this sight to see if anyone else has spotted a similar occurance.

UFOINFO Note: I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Dear John, I have looked at ufoballons.co.uk and my sighting was nothing like them! Far from it!! The three objects i saw were flying like formation aircraft... but they were not planes. The swapping movements would not be possible, not at that speed and they looked nothing like planes. The diamond shaped objects were flying across the sky a very fast rate, they were close together and in the space of one second they would change positions with each other. this happened several times... as if they were racing each other... and just to recap, they were of a dark brown/orange reflective colour with a haze/glow around them. I guess they had dissapeared out of sight within 10 seconds. Best wishes, ****.
